I just had a long long night last nite with rhys (my bf). Not that we are doing anything illegal or anything, but he was rushing his assignment for tmr morning, and i was just merely having fun with my chattery box. stayed up till about 1am, went to bed, work up about 7 and rhys is yet still there... typing through his little screen.. poor thing! oh well, at least everything was all good! After a whole day of hustle and bustle, I yet, decided to actually do this cake!
its a Passion Fruit and Coconut Cheese Slice
the base is made out of processed slivered almonds (thanks to serene jeh's help!), butter, plain flour, egg york and sugar baked in 10 mins with sprinkle of desicated coconut to give a hint of taste!
the middle layer is a creamy layer of cream coconut cheese with a hint of lemony taste. top it up with some creamy passion fruit juice sprinkle with roasted almonds!
YUMMO! it takes about 4 hours to really finish up the whole thing and let the cake set by itself! but the effort was worth it! i cant wait to actually cut a slice out and snapshot the artwork inside! throughout the process of baking, i realised that baking isnt really that hard. its the patience that is hard to keep! if really have the heart to make it, it would turn from scratch ingredients to a whole new piece of art! when they say a picture is worth a thousand words, well, a cake is worth a thousand effort!
